Final Collection

My final collection has taken me on a journey which began by looking at the Art Nouveau Movement. Taking inspiration from elements of architecture, prints, paintings, and sculpture, I pushed these ideas through into Textiles & Fashion.
From here, my ideas quickly developed into graphic screen prints. Through the design process, my prints focussed specifically on the curved 'whiplash' lines from the era. Incorporating textures such as marble, as well as markmaking using brush strokes, and variations of line thickness and opacity. Garment shapes also related to these curves, with the dresses echoing the lines, and keeping the silhouette of the collection, slick and simple.
My final prints, although all digitally printed, were inspired by processes used in traditional Screen-Print.

Below are examples of portfolio pages, demonstrating development of colour, print and silhouette.
